What a special treat it was to photograph this beautiful soul. It’s hard to put into words how I feel about this brave young woman! Let me first tell you her own story in her own words:
“Well, in the seventh grade I started to lose my hair. More and more rapidly- before you knew it, it was all gone! I went from a full head of thick curly hair to totally bald. I have been trying to figure out a way to become more comfortable with my situation. I would hope this could help me recover the self esteem I once had and can help others become more accepting of others who struggle with change and the challenges of being a teen. I always feel beautiful but I always hear others make comments. I want to be happy and accepting of what has happened. I want to be able to show the beautiful me with and without wigs on.”
I first read Regina’s story with tears in my eyes, and I quickly responded saying I would LOVE to be her photographer and would be honored to capture her inner and outer beauty. I was a little nervous because I had never done a photo shoot like hers before but let me tell you, I had nothing to worry about because this girl SHINES! Not only does she have the face of an angel but she exudes such a quiet confidence and inner peace that it was honestly a humbling experience to be in her presence. Regina, I hope you know that you are stunning inside and out, you have so many radiant qualities and reasons to be proud of what you have accomplished. Struggles are inherent in this life, and I personally believe that the strongest spirits face the hardest journeys. You are an amazing person because of the way you treat others, your willingness to be open and loving and your courage in facing new challenges. I know you will tackle whatever this life throws your way with kindness and grace and there is nothing in the world more beautiful than that. Thank you so such for choosing Lucketts as your photographer for this momentous experience, we have been so blessed to have you represent our studio!

I believe its important to capture your last moments before transitioning into adulthood. You are able to sum up all of your youthful years of accomplishments visually.

I first saw pictures of another senior that chose Luckett’s and instantly thought- they’re gorgeous! The backgrounds were so different and everything looked effortless, natural and candid. I wanted my pictures to be different than everyone else at my high school. I’m glad I chose Luckett’s because they were extremely patient and gave lots of encouragement.

Variety! Bring several outfits, jewelry, and shoes. My photographer was able to help me choose what colors worked best with my skin tone and different backgrounds.

The off-white sundress with floral print was my favorite because I feel like it worked best with the exterior shots. The hat added an extra touch
